Barkcloth

Barkcloth has been identified as one of the first textiles to be used by mankind, and it has been used to this day in Africa for various traditional reasons and ceremonies.
Barkcloth is made by cutting strips of bark from trees. These strips are soaked and dryed and cut into further smaller strips in preparation for rolling just like our recycled paper beads. The barkcloth is available in black, white, green, red and its natural brown. The barkcloth is left in its natural texture with a coat of varnish and weaved finish for a durable finish.
