How we roll......

In Detail

1.  2.
A page from a used magazine or poster is measured(1), and cut into triangular strips(2).

3. 4.
The strips are tightly rolled around a needle(3), and a dab of glue holds the bead in place(4).

The colours are determined by the design printed on the magazine page or poster. Thus, no paint is involved. Once a handful of beads have been rolled, they are hung on a string and given a thick coat of varnish.  After leaving them for two days to dry, they are complete, with a glossy and protected finish.

Finally, after lots of thought and hard work later ....
A Finished Product

We have tested the paper beads and found they withstand extensive time submerged in water. Whether it be a downpour, bath, an electric shower, water fight or even spilt milk... your necklace will survive to tell the tale!

We never miss a trick here at Mzuribeads, we sell our beads in banana leaf pouches grown in Uganda. Even here in the Uk craft fairs we sell our jewelry in used magazines bags.
Bellow are a few of our recent funky gift bags..
